This independent Cafe/Lounge Bar in East London is going under project and has a little under two weeks to get everything underway and completed. An exciting new project for Helix. We have a deadline to get all the paintwork and people organised for the up and coming event held at the Dot.
Tension and excitement is about to rise. I [Lore] am quite excited and nervous at the same time. We have got lots to do. However, I’m trusting that leisure time is going to be minimal for all contributors. It’s Wednesday 12am already and I’m trying to get out the word that this is happening! It should be all good.
The best way to get the ball rolling is to kick it yourself, right?
Tana pulling out the authoritative finger has given the whole operation a direction. The next step for this is to put it all into a plan and execute. The materials will need to be put in place for tomorrow (today) and the basic painting started on the walls.
Just to give you an idea of the style; we’re looking to give it an Aztec style. However, the best way to fathom it – imagine if the Aztecs advanced and continued down their development. What if they had technology and machines, but didn’t loose their initial style and look? Our idea is to somewhat capture that look, without making it look ‘futuristic’ and give it a modernised feel without the space age cliche. Also to give it the feeling that it’s been abandoned.
A Coca-Cola, Vans, Apple, etc. advert Aztec style! How cool would that look? Well that’s what were doing. Modern/now-days Aztec.
